A Ritual Approach to everyday life

Ritual
adjective
adjective: ritual
  1. 1.
of, relating to, or done as a religious or solemn rite.

There is something Graceful and Intimate about ritual. It is seen in most spiritual practices and heavily so- in those of the earth oriented religions.
I would ĺove to play around with the idea of it being not just something religious- but of the everyday essence. Creating and seeing your life, as a ritual.

Practice Mindfulness
Better known as - Being present.
There is  a great practice in zen buddhism that teaches of becoming what you are doing . If you are reading, , allow the words to echo through your mind as you are absorbing them, feel the pages as you turn them(If reading a book) What is being said,? Notice if there are emotions from the words. Even if they are just facts,, or not something delicious you'd prefer, there is power in presence .

If you are folding, then notice the texture of the fabric, go slowly and take your time. Watch your hands as they work and move to fold these items, Notice the peace that comes from getting this done.
Always take your time, as this helps us ground our vibrant energies. Appreciate them, give them love .
Pay attention  to someone if they are talking to you, look them in the eye, absorb their words and always put the phone down .
Being Mindful is respecting the process of where youre at ,and the precision of presence in the task at hand.

There's no need to be religious or "spiritual" for life to be a Ritual
Really, Though! Ritual is about making something sacred in the act of it. If youre driving down the street, this can be a sacred act, The way your foot feels when you excelerate or brake. In turn, Respecting others on the road, their vehicles and having compassion for them on the way to- wherever they are going. Its easy to write off a life of sacred ritual,, because mainstream and organized religion in general seem to put a reputation on a life such as . Truly though, as we walk our journey and strive to be more capable or more knowledgeable we are already acting in a sacred way. Why not incorporate that into everyday existence . Cooking food, walking the dog,, breathing ,, doing the dishes, washing the car, filing papers, climbing hills ... these are all sacred acts the moment you notice them to be. Its truly this simple, My dears.

Take Time for you, Everyday !
As Adrienne, from "yoga with adrienne"says, Take A moment to check in , and see how you are . Its far too easy to get absorbed and Caught up in the Amazing and masculine energy of busy-ness, but what is important is this AMAZING vessel we are living in . What is your body saying? Does it need anything? How are your emotions? Are you nurturing them accordingly ? How about your heart, and your mind? Are they in Cooperation? Take honest inventory of where and how you truly are, each day ! What do you need? It could be something big, like a good releasing cry; or something small, like a moment to put your feet up and just breathe. Taking time for you Is something I will always teach, because your number one prioriy should always be taking care of you, so that you can be balanced.
Nurture, Relax, Indulge, Center, pray, Unplug, heal, listen, dial down
Whatever your way of inner peace, seek this every day and notice how your intuition not only deepens, but the trust you have for it will grow.

Be Grateful
Life is so splendid, isnt it ? Or we atleast want it this way, right ?
Take honest assesment of your life and your blessings, always say thank you for the goodness you receive. The more open and grateful energy you vibrate, the better and higher vibrational things you will receive. When you look at life, as you are always taken care of- you will be. There is so much creation in our every moment, that truly we will never want for anything, its just a matter of perspective. Go with the flow and remember to breathe deep. The act of living is sacred, and holy in a far more uplifting sense than we will ever be able to comprehend with our 5 senses. You are Holy, and sacred just for being Alive, I Promise this.

Perhaps seek to find which element you are most fed by; For me, fire  feeds my soul and allows me to hear and connect to the most holy.
Practice the art of deep breathing and when you do this breathe in and out from the nose alone. The deeper you breathe, the deeper you will be able to . Practice breathing as a ritual, in sequences of 3,4,5 etc
Take 4 deep breaths, 4 times a day, for 4 weeks,  see what improvements to your mindset you have ( there will be clarity and insight, I promise) Feed you, nourish those around you. This Is a Ritual.
You are Divine.

With Love,
E.B
