When I began my spiritual journey many years ago, I struggled to find what category of belief system I belonged to. Starting with Pagan beliefs and witchcraft I was not only intimidated but confused at to which "category" of witch I belonged to. As time went on, I veered away from that study and began reading into buddhism and Zen, and the cycle of study and resonation went on and on and on.
Eventually finding my way to the new age believers of Angel lovers and the "Love and Light" cult
(I use the word cult very loosely here). After finally becoming confident in my beliefs as a "non denominational (non affiliated) minister" I began to notice how obsessive and clique-ish people were with their "spiritual" label and the "new age" hype.
It wasn't until I stumbled across the Abraham-hicks phenomenon that I began to notice people claiming to be loving and powerful and spiritual and "in their vortex" as an excuse for being (excuse my French) pieces of shit.
I loved the message and her quick wit to give answers, but a red flag was constantly going off internally each time I bought in. I mean really, Would Jesus or any true prophet be charging people HUNDREDS of dollars for a single seminar or hold them on cruises, I think not.
Don't get me wrong, I find joy in a diverse amount of beliefs, some of them being groups I listed above, but what got me is how close minded some of the people in these groups really were, and how they were living and preaching the same shame and demonizing beliefs I found to ring true in a lot of the Christianity and baptist beliefs that I grew up with . Same shit , different face.
Example :
Because you aren't in a close relationship with (the christian) God, Or you betrayed him in some way, its the reason you got fired from your job. or You have cancer because God is punishing you , you're divorced etc etc.
This is one of the many shame-based beliefs that steered me away from christianity, and allowed me "refuge" in the new age movement of angel lovers and the "love and light" cult.
(There are plenty of people in each group who are genuine and wonderful people, thank each of them for that. )
Each system of teaching holds the potential for purity in intention and having a great message. The latter shows there is also a lot of programs and systems preying on these same people, as well.
The obsession with believing just this and not only that but the sort of diluted disbelief in the true nature of chaos and "evil" is a red flag indeed. We can't simply ignore the bad and negative and only pay attention to the "positive" and if we even for 15 seconds think about something nasty we will attract it to ourselves.
What a sham.
If we were truly as instantly powerful as some of these systems of beliefs make it sound like, the world would be in so much more freaking chaos and disarray, that it would have already imploded.
The law of attraction is an absolute, but what they don't tell you, is that in order to manifest something, you have to literally work and focus on it for some time.
You are rewarded for hard work, perseverance and TRUE faith.
Listen, You don't bring shitty people into your life because you were grumpy one day, sometimes shit just happens. You ARE however responsible for allowing those shitty people to stay there though, you see the difference ?
If you're constantly thinking that everything is a message to you, or about "attracting" negative things into your experience, obsessed with "balancing" your chakras, or literally taking everything personally you're missing out on the point of a spiritual journey.
There is a belief system of new age "spirituality" that is teaching open and vulnerable people that because something negative has happened to them (chronic sickness, disease, sexual assault, money issues etc) it is because they brought it upon themselves. Sound familiar ?
Some of these "new age" teachings are cramming "positivity" down the throat of those who felt rejected and outside of mainstream religion , sucking them in with that, and then laying down THE SAME fear mongering and shame based beliefs as mainstream religion does.
I am disturbed by this, and sad at the amount of people who are falling for it.
Sure, Karma is absolutely possible, but so is the err in genetics and the probability of cancer.
I hate to break it to you, but you're SO much more likely to get cancer from addiction, poor body care, or cancer prone genetics, than you are from having a crappy relationship with Spirit (in this life or a previous.)

This "new age" obsession, is doing the same sort of shit and division that mainstream religion has been doing for generations. Separation by fear mongering and judgement.
How about the concept of "shedding ego" or "eliminating" ego. The idea is practical, set aside selfish and reaction driven lifestyles , but the idea that you can eliminate an aspect of your humanity is illusionary.
The "ego" as they label it is directly linked to your personality so in essence they are asking you to emerge yourself in a sort of disillusion of who you have developed into over the years and float around on a cloud all day, denying the experiences of your years.
When you deny yourself an embrace of all aspects of who you are, (the good and bad) you suppress these things and create unhealthy barriers in your subconscious. You cannot eliminate your ego, I'm sorry to say, but you can bring it into balance everyday and in a sense "tame" that aspect of you.

Spirituality/ religious beliefs/ journey of self discovery whatever you want to call it, you know damn well in your whole being and heart that it has nothing to do with being labeled something or following a certain trend, but more to do with the experience and feeling of the journey.
So what if you want to burn sage to cleanse your home, play with oracle cards and also go to church on Sunday, you shouldn't have to feel shame in being diverse with your beliefs.
I encourage every single person to delve into the true depths of themselves and discover the niche of their spiritual journey.
Labels can feel comfortable, and the feeling of belonging Is wonderful, but so is finding random individuals that you can vibe with, share wonderful experiences, insights etc with free of labels and expectation.
Not a single person has the same experience or journey with spirituality as you.
You and your partner are both pagan, christian (whatever) thats awesome but I bet they have some great rituals / practices that you don't really resonate with but you respect them for it, so you stick to what feels good and right to you.
Thats the wonderful thing about a personal journey, its just that, magical and personal.
Do your best to not get caught up in the hype, or guilted by the fear mongering of ANY belief system. focus on your journey and you'll find every belief, ritual and way of praising that is right and good for you. sometimes Its one thing from this belief, and another from this.
You shouldn't have to feel obligated to follow alll of something just because you agree with one thing they teach. No one is going to hate you for being diverse, and if they do, screw them. Be true to you and ALWAYS question things. No matter how pretty and appealing its presented.

Guardian spirits

Spirit Guides These are your personal cheerleaders and your go-to in time of need. They have been known to manifest into physical form when a situation is an extreme emergency or to deliver a very important message (Same with Guardian Spirits)
They are entities that generally stay in the " spirit rhealms" and have access to limitless knowledge through space and time, such as their own karmic fulfilled lives and lessons and the records of every life. When you need help with your earthly journey, these are your guys!
Prayer and meditation are the most common and accessible ways to be in communication with both guardian and guide spirits. You can ask them to come to you in dreams if you wish specifically to have them identify themselves to you. Some people are even as bold as to request they present themselves as a physical being.
If you choose to meditate or pray to connect with them ( both are the best way to connect and communicate), I suggest silence be your back ground , where as music and the like serves as a distraction. If you need music to be the background choose non vocal. Be somewhere with no distractions, dim lighting and where you feel most relaxed or safe. Be the guide of this meditation , see where you float and be sure to jot any notes down, while you have the connection and inspiration right there.
Animal/Creature Guides, Some cultures teach that we have the spirits of animals, or any creature of nature. plus mystical creatures fostering as guardian for us. For example, Tribes of the Native Americans believe in Animal Totems and animal mysticism where these creatures are a teacher/ protector, kinfolk, and friends for us.They believe you can call upon certain animal spirits to give you strength and courage (whatever you need) to walk with you in the phases of your life .
There is something they have called the Animal totem.
A command of animal spirits that are dominant in your personality , the ones that represent who you are in the best and worst lights; or are the best medicine for your spirit.
These are the animal spirits that walk with you in your everyday life, keeping watch and encouraging you.
Others, teach that You can call on specific creature guides to help you with a certain phase of your life. Appearing or being summoned to show you aspects of your personality that are strong and needed, or need strengthening, and so on.
When their lesson is done they leave you and you are free to move onto the next phase of your life, with thanks and respect to the creature.
Another Belief system, teaches us we only have one creature spirit that walks with us daily, continuously protecting and guiding us, while serving as teacher of both dark and light. They serve as both guide and guardian.
It doesn't matter if you have an entire totem of animals to teach and guide you, or a single creature. The creature kingdoms are our family, and we have been coexisting together for centuries. Allow these beings to guide and teach you, as you protect and hold sacred their place on this planet and in your life.
To connect with your animal guides sit out in nature to meditate or pray ( somewhere that you cant be disturbed or distracted) notice the animals or creatures that you are most drawn to, which ones do you relate to on a primal level? Which ones are most like your personality? Which ones make you feel empowered ?If you are having trouble ask the creature to show itself to you while meditating or to appear in a dream. Do research and see what the totem and symbolic meaning of each is. It doesnt matter if you choose one, or an entire list of them. This is a connection most needed to stay in touch with our creature nature.

Self care and The importance of, post trauma
Disclaimer: Some of this content may trigger trauma survivors. If you at any time feel overwhelmed, please take break. Do not push yourself .
1.)Take it slow
This, my sweet , is the most important thing you can possibly do for yourself right now.
When you experience a traumatic event ( no matter the cause) Your body itself is deeply effected. Pay close attention to how your body feels in these days, If it is telling you to rest - do it . If it wants fresh air, or to cry- indulge it. You are the number one thing you should be focusing on right now and I recommend doing just that. You'll do yourself more harm than good, if you push yourself in this stage. Notice any dramatic changes in your everyday activities.
How are your eating habits? How are your sleeping habits? Are you getting enough exercise or physical activity daily? How is your Vitamin D intake? Are you being more social or less social? How are your sexual habits? Are you leaving your house enough?
If there are any dramatic shifts in these activities, I would monitor them closely and make sure to keep a balance. You don't want to over or under indulge in anything.
2.) Keep track of your Emotional state
Emotions can be a tricky thing, one day you can be feeling on top of the world and the next you may feel as low as it gets. Although this is completely normal, it doesnt make it any easier. Your emotions may go through a whirlwind and may be confusing and scary, you don't have to go it alone.The last thing you want to is to withdrawal completely. When you've gone through a trauma your emotions are heightened and one bad day can feel like the end of the world. Know that what you are feeling is OK and always keep in mind that you are not alone. If you are struggling with your emotions, I recommend reaching out to someone and talking about how you are feeling. If you are really struggling There are people out there who help and are educated on these things professionally. It does not make you weak to ask for help, it actually shows a deep inner strength. Draw on this whenever you need it most.
I recommend keeping a daily journal for your emotions in the early stages, or even completely throughout. Being able to pour yourself out onto a page, can be a sort of safe haven and a helpful tool later on . Going back over your own words, you may find wisdom that you need on a different day. It can also help you keep track of the fluctuations in your moods and may even be a tool for your mental healthcare professional to help you in.
You don't have to necessarily share your highs and lows with others, but in a professional setting it could help save your life. The last thing you need is to shut down emotionally, while this is very common, it is actually a warning sign and should not be ignored. If you feel like you are beginning to shut down emotionally, please speak up and ask for help.
3.)Seek your comforts
What Comforts you? Write down a list of the things that keep you feeling comfortable within your own skin. Whether they are hobbies, self care methods, religious practices, studies, crafts- whatever . These things are an important part of you and drawing on them when the going gets tough, can help you a great deal in remembering all that you are. A common symptom of trauma is withdrawal and although that can be healthy in small doses , when we withdrawal too much we start to lose a sense of ourself and this is a dangerous combination.
Pay attention.
On the alternative, Trauma can help push you into a new direction for comforts. When we go through the phases of trauma, things that once worked may fall away and we find a new comfort that we need deeply at this time. If you are up for it, go to your local library and browse the non fiction aisles. there are sections on gardening, healthcare, cooking, religion, crafting, building, the cosmos, math, pyrotechnics and so much more. Use this time as a tool for growth if you can. It may feel weird at first, but the things you do now are what you will notice later, are the things that helped the most. Coddling yourself , in a sense, may seem silly, but I promise you will thank yourself in the long run.

Christ Consciousness
Described as the 13th ray of consciousness, The essence known as Christ Consciousness is far more than a Link to Christianity or religion of any kind. This energy Is a mindset of High vibration, that calls to us to live at a level of service to humanity, unconditional love, empathy with a pure and balanced human experience.
This wavelength can be reached a number of ways. Through meditation, prayer, acts of unconditional love, forgiveness, empathy, non judgment etc..
The Christian history of Jesus speaks of a man, being sent down as the only son, of the God of Love, to allow a way for us to atone for our "sins" and Be able to "come back" to God through him. Being a way to ascend into heaven after death.
In more new age teachings, he is known as An Ascended Master.
A Being, who came to earth already enlightened, here to teach an alternative human lifestyle. One aimed at teaching love for the other, selflessness, the power of the human consciousness. You see, Christ consciousness shows us, that we're to be of service to one another despite our differences or Status. Much Like Joan of arc, the Original Buddha , Martin Luther King JR, Saint Teresa and so many more ascended masters.
Instead of being accepted for the radical he was, he was put to death and shamed by those in power out of fear. A Being, who came to earth already enlightened, here to teach an alternative human lifestyle. One aimed at teaching love for the other, selflessness, the power of the human consciousness. You see, Christ consciousness shows us, that we're to be of service to one another despite our differences or Status. Much Like Joan of arc, the Original Buddha , Martin Luther King JR, Saint Teresa and so many more ascended masters.
The Way of Jesus Christ Is a call to rise above what is known as the 3rd dimensional mindset (where money , worry, and gluttony for Power rule.) It's A call to trust your path, and your inner divinity. As A Child of Creation. What are you creating in your daily life, as practice if Christ Consciousness?
It's a respect of our true relationship to other Humans (and the Divine)

When we Look at the big picture and see that only as a whole with the intention of love, can we function properly. No matter the age, race, status, gender or anything that speaks on separation or isolation from the other.

Separation on any level is an illusion, based on the fact that energy and its flow are always in communication with the other (human and not)
What Will you choose to Emit ?
When I think of perfect examples of People Emitting Christ Consciousness - I Think of my sister and her Husband. Their vibration is pure and they are always emitting Hospitality, Christ's love and an ever open heart. I've never felt more openly loved or able to be me, than when I am in their home !
It's the heart of Love (Higher heart) that understands the Human Condition, and Loves humanity anyway. Holding Empathy above all else and Cherishing Each Human Just as the Next (you're still allowed favorites though ;])
You see, Christ consciousness does not call for perfection in any way, or even a life free of material ( Balance is essential) but a life of gratitude and an open heart of understanding, for your human family.
You don't have to like everyone, but you must respect their path. It is their journey and theirs alone, whatever that may be. If you must walk away from others for the path they choose this is fine, just remember to release them with Love. harboring resentment does you more harm than them.
It's not our Job to change others or even tell them how to live- But to live our lives with integrity and lead by example.
A Life of Humility, Compassion, Inner joy spilled outward, and gratitude teaches so much more than A preacher screaming from A pulpit.
Remember this the next time you feel judgment or the justification of-
Loving you all- Religious and not , The heart of Love knows no religion but that the only way to heal the collective heart is to melt barriers of what has been previously taught and instilled.
Through self love, we learn to share this type of love. Compassion comes from a healthy relationship with self and our divine spirit. Through the divine connection of Christ consciousness (selflessness) we are beacons of this love.

Environmental awareness: Noise pollution and our part in taking care of our Mother.
There's no shortage of damage to our home planet, from litter, to landfills; Light pollution and smog, to Noise pollution in the ocean. We have slowly but surely (in a mass sense) started destroying the earth and her natural state since the beginning of man. From the need to cut out forestry to make commercial properties, to becoming ignorant of our litter and the effects it has on the natural world. 70% of the trash we produce, will not break down and decompose. So to say the least, STOP THROWING YOUR CIGARETTE BUTTS ON THE GROUND!!
While there is no shortage of things to talk about regarding the Earth and her health. There's one issue that I wish to bring into the limelight, and this is the state of the ocean and her creatures.
88% of the oceans surface is polluted, with a whopping 5.25 TRILLION pieces of trash (and counting) floating in our seas and oceans. (Sourced: Google)
Filling our ocean creatures with heavy metals, trash (yes, they do eat it) and low vibrational Energies. It seems as though we are destroying our earth from the inside out.
On top of us adding to these trash pollution statistics everyday, there is an even BIGGER issue to be faced in the ocean, and that is noise pollution.
90% of what we buy arrives by boat, leaving the trans-oceanic import export trade to be one of the highest ranking markets in the entire world. The size and ripple effect of this trade, has not gone unnoticed by marine biologists, who are stressed out to say the least.
Approximately 20 million containers are being transported via ocean travel as we speak.

Although it is cost efficient and more convenient for merchandisers, the creatures of the ocean are being impacted in an undeniably negative manner.
For example, the whales in the Northern hemisphere have gone deaf, and are unable to communicate or breed due to this trade. The population of our northern hemisphere whales, in comparison to the southern hemisphere is more than a 10,000 whale difference.
That's a big WTF in my book and the book of marine biologists.

These mass ships, are the size of skyscrapers moving merch to and fro daily. They are not only responsible for the noise death of whales, (and other sea inhabitants) but the contact death of them, as well. Choppin em up, and most without even a notice.
Our greed for capitol and for merchandise has made us the #1 killer of ocean life and the ocean's natural sound wavelength. There is not a single place in the ocean, where human noise pollution is undetectable. With the noise pollution almost tripling in the last 50 years, this raises a red flag and calls for action and awareness.
With marine biologists working tirelessly to understand and study these new ocean life conditions, we must ask ourselves what can be done. How can we reverse the damage we've created as a human race? Is there redemption for our actions or is this the end? What impact will this have in the long run?
This is an issue that has left me flabbergasted and distraught, My advice is little to none. We can support and donate to these marine biologists who care the most for these creatures. The only way for us to understand what we can do on a individual level is to heed their words and actions.
What we can do On a personal level is bring awareness to our imprint on the earth. By, reducing our personal waste, limiting our consumerism, refraining from purchasing made-to-break items, picking up trash we see laying around, recycling our plastics and cardboards, using cloth or mesh bags for grocery shopping, making our own meals (aka avoid eating out, or buying single serving meals),re-using plastic bags from grocery stores, Knowing WHERE we buy our products from (aka buy local and cruelty free), paying mind to our energy use, paying attention to the pollutants we put into the earth, etc.
Pay heed to these words-its only so long before there's nothing left to do, except watch the world implode.
Why not start small, with our own actions and create a ripple effect of care and healing.

I suggest taking time everyday, to step outside and Breathe in the air, to connect and remember this vital organ.
Honor your Slice of nature, by adding things you love to it. Plant some flowers for the elementals, the guardians of nature .
Place gnomes, fairies, gargoyles, or other nature creatures in your yard/garden to protect it and offer a sacred space for the earth and creatures in that area.Perhaps a bird bath, or a little fountain. Put things for yourself out there to enjoy also- such as chairs, tiki lights or perhaps a swing. We can Melt away worries and stress, when we step outside and feel the earth moving and life passing around us. The message from nature is

Find somewhere free of the hubbub of humanity and give yourself permission to relax, and just be. You'll not only be thanking yourself for the break, but you'll be thanking nature for the pleasant visit.

2) Eat Fruit.
Truly nature's candy and what a sweet treat. Fruit is filled and overflowing with Vitamins and Minerals that can elevate the mood, clean the body out, help fight disease, and perk the system up. Give your Body a Boost of goodness by eating fruits as often as you can ! Not only will your body thank you, but you can certainly improve your well being this way.
Frozen fruits are fantastic treats, and an easy things to make for the children.Try blending them into a smoothie , or pureeing for popsicles ! Whichever your method of indulge and care, do give your bodies and bodies you take care of, what they needs !
I've found it very handy to offer my child strawberries, when she's in a bitter mood. The boost in her system gets her chemical levels elevated and she is almost instantly , in a better mood.

3) Embrace Sobriety.
While i'm not here to knock your lifestyle, I stand firm in this one and moved it up in the list to talk a bit about the seriousness of it.
This can be the best way to connect with your reality, and feel where you are, on every all around level.
This includes, caffeine . recreational and lifestyle substances (this, also is not a substitute for medical advice. which is why I kept RX drugs off the list. unless you are abusing , then your chemical levels may depend on these rx drugs)
Ive noticed a pattern in the youth , and even adults where they have adopted a substance induced lifestyle - while moderation is best , allowing yourself to be constantly dependent or even addicted is far from healthy. In order to be completely rooted and clear headed in every direction, we need to remember and partake in our natural sober state of being.
Its no secret, that I am a partaker in the use of Mary jane, but there are plenty of days where sobriety feels the most comfortable for me. When my anxiety is high, I try not to chemically ( or herbal-ly) induce myself, for the sake of calming and understanding the cause of my anxiety.
Moderation is detrimental.
On a personal level, If you have to take breaks from social circles or specific people in general to allow yourself to moderate, or sober up, do it. Stand Your ground with decisions like this, this is your life, your body, your mind. Its up to YOU to take care of it. If you're living for the moment , and not thinking of how you will feel when you're 45, please do so now.
If you are seriously struggling with substance abuse/ addiction, Then this is your divine intervention. Seek help now. 1 in every 3 youth, who lives a substance abuse lifestyle was introduced by either someone in their family or someone close to them. There's a huge difference in letting your 18 year old have a glass of wine at family dinner, than giving them permission to throw a banger at your house while you supervise.
Educate your children, and be open with them about the facts, instead of condoning or instilling fear in them.
Sobriety offers insight, allows the body to reset itself and allows us to think clearly and rationally. When we are substance free, our body can eliminate the toxins that are in it, quicker and more effectively. Our mind is able to problem solve, we can see truth better and make decisions that are properly weighed. Not to mention, our relationships and view points of society and people in general can be clearer and more grounded. Long term hard drug/substance abuse can damage the body and mind, but the thing about bodies and minds is they continually work to heal themselves.

4) Meditate
A great, and free method of energizing and centering,
Meditation is a powerful tool that opens the self up to life, and creates a powerful connection to gratitude and the fullness of existence.
There are simple deep breathing meditations that allow you to focus on the lungs, or breath itself (Breath of life.) without having to be "spiritually" focused. The deeper you breathe, the deeper you will be able to breathe. Not only does meditation center your being, but it can also help health issues including blood circulation and lung problems (both linked to the heart.)
Give it a chance and you'll see the benefits it produces. Do a bit of research and see what method of meditation is for you.
You don't have to sit on your butt to meditate, taking a walk with the intention of feeling the earth more ,Is a meditation . Cooking food with the intention of love, is meditation. See and experience all the brilliant ways meditation can benefit you! Silence, guided, music induced , whatever your method of going about, this is right and true for you!
This is probably the number one way, for those that are spiritual, to energize the mind and soul.

5) Do Grandma's Step One, Charka Alignment Exercise.
Ah, Grandma's tried and true method of aligning the chakra centers. She has advised me on an entire exercise list to do, but this one is quick and effective !
Its called the "Face north, and twirl to the right three times"
Okay, so it doesn't have a name , but you get the jist of it ;]

Face north and take a deep breath from the belly
(as you begin taking the twirls,
you will need to pause in between each one when you are at north again.)
deep breathe exhaling as you do the first twirl
pause facing north
Twirl again, and exhale deeply as you do
Pause on North again
And last Twirl, deep breathing as you spin
end on north.
roll your shoulders slowly back three times
If you need to do more, then do them in sequences of three
(3,6,9,12 etc)
6) Do a Body cleanse or Foot Soak.
This is one of my favorite ways to revitalize the ENTIRE being! Im def going to link a few articles and recipes for things. While some cleansing take weeks, or require a lifestyle change, others can be done periodically.
From our diet, attitude towards life/others, environment, footwear, experiences etc. we absorb a lot of toxins. If not taken care of over time, it can result in a sluggish body, and low energy levels. Go sit in a hot sauna, bath or hot tub, as this is an ancient method of cleansing that allows your body to quicken its natural reaction for releasing toxins, delicious sweating. Another great method is getting a colonoscopy; Sounds intimidating, but is absolutely healing in nature and medically proven to improve health.
If you're short on cash, then there's great foot soaks that only requires baking soda, Epsom salts and the optional herbs, or essential oils of your choice.
We made a quick recipe of:
Baking soda
Lavender & plain epsom salts
Apple cider vinegar.
All mixed in Warm/ hot water.
Serving sizes of each depends on the personal need/desire of cleanse.
A 30 min foot soak alone , gave me a lighter feeling of being, and allowed me to sleep very comfortably that night. Imagine what a week, two weeks or even a lifestyle of purifying can do ! Be sure to do your research and Follow directions CAREFULLY when doing these things. Its not like the package saying 400' for the oven temp, and you putting it on 420' for the sake of humour. Following directions, for all-body cleansing is super important. If possible, ask the people at your local health food store for tips and always do your research on the specific product or method you are using!

7) Make time for sacred space/ Alone time
This is something that should be ritual in your life, sacred space allows your energies, focuses and attentions to be in one spot. Where you can leave your stresses and worries at the door, allowing what "Needs" to be done to melt away.
Sacred space is not thetime to have your mind busy, but a time to indulge the senses in some "me" time .
Things like colors, smells,sounds are all a helping factor.
This includes:
aromatherapy, Yoga, Meditation, reading, journaling, lighting candles, Listening to music, praying, indulging in nature, self care, going on a walk, soaking, masturbation, massage, eating chocolate,taking a nap, gardening, un-plugging from the world of electronics, De-cluttering your home, Sun bathing , Taking a moment to check in with your emotions, having a good cry, watching a movie you love the most ... and the list goes on.
With the busy-ness of today's world, it can seem troubling if not impossible to get some alone time. So even if you have to sneak away from your Family/ Friends/ Coworkers to the bathroom or bedroom, for only 10 minutes , indulge yourself in some deep breathing - even this small act can help your body and soul be revitalized.

8) Listen to Music !
Ah, the Sound of the angels speaking. Music is something of a magick essence, that can lift us, open up our hearts, empty us, fill us, terrify us, release us, purify us, or connect us. What a blessing we have received in the ability to enjoy, and create music. Blessed are those who are the music makers, you are a healer of this world. The vibrational purity of musical notes is often times , just what someone needs to see that they are on the "right path"

Do you create playlists ? (you should ;]) Do you try new music genres out just to see what you think? When was the last time you went to a show or concert? The tickets are always worth the money!

9) Try something new !
New is always invigorating ! Whether its taking a new way to work and breaking up your routine a little bit , or Completely up-rooting yourself. Life is always offering refreshment, when we step away from the mundane and allow fresh perspective !
When was the last time you did something outside of the routine schedule of your life ? How about buying some cherries instead of oranges this grocery trip? Or how about stopping at that rock climbing shop you've been eyeing for weeks?
Even if its a hobby that you pick up and put down in the same month, how else are you going to know what all you like and don't?
Here are some ideas:
- Indulge in a new lipstick color, or start wearing lipstick for the heck of it
- Decide that you WILL start that new work out routine and stick with it, you've got a goal right? Time to reach it! You can do it!
- That recipe looks tricky? give it a shot! Find an even harder one, and make a date night out of it.
- Stop by that spooky bookstore you've been curious about. A dusty corner, often times offers what you need.
-Join and go to, a local social group! New friends are always brilliant.
- Invest in that crochet how-to book! You'll atleast get a scarf out of it!
-Completely change your wardrobe, switch up your colors and dont stop searching untill you find that piece you'd die in ! Fashion is a mixture of paradise/glamour and heaven. How about tossing out those sweaters from 1993! No one will miss them ;]
- Attend A Local Poetry slam, so what if its not your thing. You see those brave souls willing to go up there and bare their souls?
- Share music you adore with someone you wish to know more , what a great way to connect than through music.
- Re Organize your house furniture and plants.
- Get a Hair cut that's out of the norm ( or Grow your hair out )
- find your Power colors, and Buy Items in those shades!
- Choose to Empower your life by joining a group or cause you believe in.
- Start actually planning for that dream vacation.
- Start a conversation with a stranger , their story could be amazing.
- Release the judgments you have about co-workers.
- Be open with your spouse about your deepest dreams and biggest fears (even the ones you find silly)
- Indulge in photography ( even just, with your phone) and aim to capture the beauty of life's moments.

10) Have a conversation with someone you love !
A visit or phone call that touches you right in the heart, with over flowing joy can be the same thing as going on a mini vaca. The shared connection of open conversation, and honesty has a positive effect on both parties, and can uplift the emotions of the persons involved !
Take a moment and think of the people whom you always have had wonderful, deep, and insightful conversations with.
They are more than likely a part of your soul-family (If not already your blood family)
Take the time to ask them about their lives, and how they are doing on a personal level. Allow yourself to be open and honest with them on the same level.
Plenty of fresh perspective and dots to be connected , happens when we allow ourselves to be open and vulnerable.
Its very refreshing to know that you can have someone who will openly listen, with the heart of love and true interest.
Seek these people , and cherish those whom are like this in your life. We Are each blessed with the ability to have conversation, to feel and have friends ! Yay for this!
We can each accumulate so much weight on our shoulders, and without knowing it, we carry it around with us like a heavy burden. When we hold in emotions , or thoughts, deeds ( whatever) that we need to express, we can dim our vibration and allow ourselves to take more on , and sometimes its not even our own load we are carrying. Verbalizing internal struggle, or even concern will allow the load to lighten and always offers refreshment or perhaps insight into ourselves or situations.
(Just remember, conversation and interaction is ALWAYS 2 sided, don't be the friend who demands all the attention , and gives none in return.)

5 Tips of Regeneration after times of difficulty
1) Forgive Yourself --
For everything; forgive others. Forgive what you most feel ashamed about, Forgive those little things that hold a weight on you, forgive the big things that you never think about . All of it . Everything you are upset over, and forgive things that haven't even been done yet.
Things like resentment, and unforgiveness are an exrememly dense and heavy energy to harbour and They can actually weaken the immune system. When we harbour negative emotions our bodies become more suseptible to tension, which eventually builds up around our muscles and can continue to add damage slowly over time. When we're upset and worrying or holding anger about something, in actuality we are doing nothing to resolve or change it, we are only adding to the mind-fuck of guilt. Things left unforgiven,, or undealt with on an emotional level- lead to guilt. Which is an unnecessary and counter- productive thing to harbour. If you truly want to move on and be happy, you've got to practice the art of Forgiveness. Just as the saying goes
"Holding resentment is just like drinking poison, waiting for the other person to feel its effects."
and certainly if the resentment it towards yourself, its a double edged sword... its time to let it go. You should be your biggest ally and your biggest fan. Its tough enough facing society sometimes, and when theres inner turmoil going on, that makes life even harder. Your mind should be a safe haven.
Allow it to be.
2) Make the Effort-
Its one thing to seek something out- like improving your mood, or life even, but its another to motivate yourself to do it. Feeling depressed or low , can be hard to get out of. That heavy feeling that can be held in ones body is enough to make anyone want to just give in and accept it as life. Dont! The longer you stay in that state, the longer you will have to be diligent in getting out of it. It can become a cozy spot, that feels like home . When really, its a comfort zone where nothing grows and happiness fades.
There is a strong sense of Vulnerability that comes with leaving the rut, so you'll really need to PUSH yourself when trying to leave the rut ( if you're struggling to.)
Focus on Tasks that will improve life for you. Hobbies that brighten your mood, People that fill your heart! Yes, Socializing is a great way to snap out of it. Time spent in Isolation can do alot of negative damage to the psyche , if its not used in a constructive manner.
Its not going to happen overnight, but if you track the progress you make then you will see that there is always progress being made . Be patient, Child.. sadness is not the end of the world.
Theres plenty to be sad about, with all the horrible shit that goes on, but if you choose to focus on that, then thats all you will see. If you sit aroud worrying about things you have absolutely no Control over, then you're not doing anything to benefit anyone...Be Solution Oriented. Start with, What can I Do to help me.
If you have to get to know yourself all over again, you better get to work! Sadness, depression, anxiety, doom- These are all natural things to feel, they are SUPPOSE to be a part of life for us all Feel them, undestand them, then MOVE ON.
You Deserve to feel good, the real question is, how do You want to feel?
Its So okay to feel down sometimes, But do not accept this as life.

3) Focus On your Health-
Well, why not ? We are tangible creatures heavy and Light in our bodies and its optimal that we take care of them in the best sense! Theres no sense in holding distaste towards your body, its yours to keep. Get past the flaws if you must, but you are beautiful and DESERVE to feel good.
Taking A nurturing approach to eating is a great way to help elevate your frame of mind, you energy levels, your moods, everything !
What food makes you feel good ?
Pay attention to how you feel before and after you eat something.
If you feel like shit, after every meal- then youre doing it wrong, lover ! Theres a Difference between feeling full from fulfillment, and feeling stuffed to misery. Pay attention to your body signals, it has an accurate system all its own- It can heal itself, or become its own worst enemy. If you are Constantly challenging its system, or ignoring it (even in the slighest) its going to retaliate in its own way , and you'll end up feeling like crap. So not ideal.

Maybe throw some fitness focus into it . Im not saying go and get a gym membership ( I mean really, who has time for that)
Just find some way to bring fitness focus to your body, every single day. This could mean going for a walk around the neighborhood, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, parking a little farther from the building youre going in to, doing floor stretches in the morning and evening, enrolling in that pilates class youre dying to try ;] or simply breathing deeper and more meaningfully. Exercise has been proven to boost emotions and get the blood flowing in a great way!

4)Avoid Being Lethargic-
This ties in together with the last point; Stop lazing around so much! Its perfectly fine to be lazy and relax, but monitor this activity with your Physical Activity. If you find yourself lazing about, or sitting around most of the time, then your body will be more prone to depression and illness. We are Capable of heavy activities for a reason (unless serious health issues dictate otherwise) and we should respect this by giving our bodies the activity that it needs. Think about the physical exertions our ancestors went through, im sure if they saw the laziness we evoke now, we would all get a bit of scolding !

5) Know theres a season for everything-
Its not always going to be sunshine and pots of Gold. Its perfectly and natural for you to allow yourself to feel the lows and highs of life . Emotions are a very important part of our human experience, so denying them is to deny yourself the experience of life.
It can hurt like hell sometimes, but that no reason to accept that every moment will be painful.
Cherish every moment, even the terrible things, Life will always teach us if we allow it. Alot of the time, we are learnin the most valuable lessons of self from how we choose to face our difficulties. Allow yourself to feel, then let go.
Life is not meant to be spent in shame, sadness, regret- or any emotions like that all the time. Its meant to be felt on a way deeper and more amazingly intimate level!
Get over yourself, if you must and start to live your life FULLY.
This is your life.
Even the raw, terribly frightening things that make us feel uneasy,are there to help us along the way.
This is YOUR Life. Cherish it, Observe it, Live it.
Charge up your life force and awaken all that you are, with respects to the Seasons of life.
